It's been five years. The sacred jewel has been completed. And the wish has been made. Everything is back to normal. Sango, her brother Kohaku, and Kirara are back to demon hunting, Miroku is still the perverted priest looking for the women who will bare his child, Kikyo is long gone, and Shippo is on his own. Still wondering what the wish was? It wasn't for Inuyasha to be full demon, or full human. It wasn't for Kagome's happiness. It was for everyone to forget everything that happened in there adventures and for life to go back to the way it was before the whole incident happened.
But, one person still remembers. He keeps wondering how life would be if he said the three most precious words, I love you, to the one person he really cared about. But he didn't. And now he wonders around the forest alone. With nowhere to go, and no one to go home to. While the one person he ever loved is getting married.
Yes. Kagome will marry Hojo in a month. But when she sleeps, she visits a deep forest. In front of her, is a boy with snowy white ears on top of his head. She knows him from somewhere. He never moves, and she can't see his face. But then she sees something glitter on his cheek. As a single tear falls from his face. Every night that's how it ends. She wakes up with the familiar figure still in her mind as one word escapes her lips.

Inuyasha was asleep in a tree dreaming about a home. One he knew he could never have. Then he wakes up and in the moonlit night, he starts crying. Longing for someone to love him. A mother, a father, a brother. But they were ether dead, or hated his guts. He wanted a family. And he did. But by magic, he gave it all up. In the darkness, someone calls his name. It was Kagome's voice, it didn't sound distant, nor did it sound near. But he knew, someone still loved him.
