Pick up the Peaces
She walked down the street crying, she had just caught her boyfriend (well ex boyfriend) and her best friend in bed together. She passed by the DOT and saw Spinner and Mia sitting at the counter talking, she was going to walk in but she decided against it. She continued walking till she hit a park. She walked to the swing and sat down. She was just thinking. The scene played over and over again in her head. She wondered how long they have been sneaking behind her back, she wondered if his best friend knew. All these thoughts brought her to tears again. She got up and wiped her tears away. She didn't want to cry over him. Yes it hurt her and yes she should be crying, but she didn't want to. She wasted enough tears on him over the years. Once again she started walking till she saw his best friend. She decided to go and talk to him. Once his friend left she walked over
"Did you know?" was all she asked him. He looked up at her and saw that she had a tear stained face.
"Know what?" she looked down at him and he patted the spot next to him. She sat down and looked him in the eyes
"About them" he looked at her like she had six heads
"About who?" he was really confused. As much as she tried to keep the tears in she couldn't, they just drained out of her, pouring down her face.
"Sean and Manny!!!!" she finally yelled. She looked down and he put his arm around her pulling her close to him. He rubbed her back in soothing circles and kept telling her that it was going to be okay. Once she started to calm down he decided to get some answers out of her
"Sean and Manny?" he asked her and she nodded
"Since when?" she looked at him and shrugged. He bit his bottom lip being afraid of the answer he might get
"How do you know? Did he just tell you or…" she tears up
"I caught them… in MY bed!" he just holds her and kisses her forehead
"Why Jay?? Why!?!? What did I do?? I NEVER cheated on him!!" she cried again. He held her telling her that she never did anything wrong, that he was just being an ass, and that she was perfect, that she was everything a guy could want and need. She told him everything. She told him about when she first started to think they had a thing, to when she walked in on them just a few hours ago. He told her about his problems, starting a couple years back when he cheated on Alex to present time when he broke up with Mel last night. Then they started joking around and laughing. He decided that he was going to tell her something that he held inside for years
"I love you" he said. She looked up at him confused.
"What did you just say?" she couldn't believe what she was hearing
"Emma Nelson I Love You!" she was shocked at first and then a smile spread across her face
"Really?" he smiled
"Yea, I always have, ever since I first met you. I was always so jealous of Sean 'cause he had you, but now here's my chance and I'm telling you, Emma be mine, I'll take care of you, and I'll make you happy. I'll NEVER cheat on you. I'll treat you like the queen you are" she smiles. Then she leans over and kisses him softly on his lips. He blushes and she giggles
"Just promise me one thing Jay" he smiles and holds her hand
"Anything" she holds his other hand and continues
"Don't EVER break my heart, or cheat on me, please don't" he kisses her
"Emma I promise, I will NEVER break your heart and I would never ever cheat on you" with that they kissed again. They got up and Jay walked her home holding her hand all the way there.
