He never thought a life could end so fast. That his world could be so thoroughly shattered in a split second. His teammate lost his life admidst a shower of sparks. It was an accident, a tragic accident caused by one of the archaeologist's own beloved artifacts. His lifeless body had slumped to the floor, Jack watching helplessly. He had tried to revive him when the shock had worrn off, but there was nothing he could do. His teammate was pronounced dead a few minutes later. Jack couldn't believe his archaeologist was gone. The worst part of all was, Jack had never even gotten to tell Daniel how much he loved him.
