Deerest Miss Cosette,

You probibly do not reckonize who I am. I am Gavroche. I really liked that song you sang for me at my grave (she didn't really, those who haven't read or seen it). I am dead, but do not be alarmd that this letter is reeching you. I am just trying to say that Marius is alive and well. You might alredie know that. I was just trying to eese your mind of any troubles. I'm sorry that I don't have very good handriting and that my speling isn't that good eether. I know they are both pretty horrendis. I can't help it, though. I was raised as a poor French beggir. I wasn't ever really egucatid. I think I'll let you get some sleep, I think this may be interuptin' that. Sory.

Gavroche

Dearest Gavroche,

Do not worry. You did not wake me in the slightest. I thank you truly for telling me that Marius is alive. I have been so worried. I hope you can still write to me if I leave this letter on your grave. If you would like, I will sing you another song sometime. I used to sing it as a child, when I worked for that awful innkeeper. I like to call it Castle on a Cloud. I will sing it to you the next time you give me a letter, alright? I hope you write soon. Do not worry about waking me, I can always take time out of my "busy" schedule to read your letters.

Love from,

Cosette

Miss Cosette,

Thank you for writing back. Just by reading your letter I can feel my vocabularie and speling getting' better. Maybe I will send you a bird. That guy in the white robe says I can pick out any one I want and send it to you. He said I could also give you a cat or a dog. That would be cool, woodnt it? Well if you tell me wat aminal you want, I can see if I can get 'im to you.

Gavroche

Dear Gavroche,

Thank you so much for the letter. I hope that you will be able to learn spelling from the "man in the robe". I'd like to point out in no disrespect, that your spelling is quite bad. It is spelled vocabulary, spelling, wouldn't, what, animal, and them. I just want you to know.

Cosette

P.S. That man in the robe is known as God.

Miss Cosette,

Thank you for the spelling lesin. I needid it. I think I still need it, but God is also teaching me how to do it. So is Mr. Val jean. He's really nice. I mean, he teaches me a lot of stuff like how to widdle at dead branches to make walking sticks. Isn't that cool?

From,

Gavroche
