He was everything she could have asked for.
He was sweet and caring, and even though he didn't like public displays of affection very much, he always gave her sweet little kisses when she asked for them. He rubbed their noses together, his own personal wake up call for her.
He was the guy who completely skipped giving her a drawer and begged her to move in with him at four months.
He held her hand and drew circles on the back of it just for the fun of it.
He held her in public and private, and even though everyone said the need to constantly be touching would go away once the honeymoon phase was over it didn't. They were one year strong and she still felt empty when he left her, she felt incomplete without even a finger drawing silly pictures on her arm.
They always fought, most of the time about stupid things, but after one very teary fight when he left her alone he promised to never leave her again. After that their fights were easily resolved, a compromise was made or one of them realized they were wrong (although if you were to ask her she was always right, but she was pretty sure he had a different story).
He was what made it worth all the glares she got from jealous girls.
He was the only boy she had ever brought home, and secretly she hoped he would be the last.
He was the man who on Christmas morning handed her a small wrapped gift and shifted nervously in his spot on the floor.
He was the man who had bought her the most beautiful engagement ring she could have ever imagined.
He was the man who caught her when she threw her arms around his neck and held her teary face in his hands and left little kisses all over her cheeks and forehead.
"So is it safe assume that's yes?"
He was the only man she had ever loved so completely.
He was the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with, jealous girls be damned.
