Sometimes I feel like I should retire from Time Patrolling. I don't know what stops me from doing so. Maybe it's because I actually love this job. Oh, where are my manners? My name is Frostbyte. I am a member of Frieza's race. I have light blue skin, no horns, and I'm wearing the Z Fighting Suit, so I basically look like I am in my fourth form. Why am I telling you this? Because this is the story of how I became Conton City's newest hero.
It was a few weeks after Mira and Towa's defeat, and there was going to be a celebration in the Time Nest, where all Time Patrollers were invited. After a long decision, I decided I wouldn't go. Not because I was jealous, oh no. It was because I'm not really into social gatherings. I just never saw the point of them. So, when everyone went to the party, I sat down near the Hero's statue and began debating on which parallel quest I should do. Just as I had finally made a decision, a voice spoke from behind me.
"What are you doing here? You should be in the Time Nest having fun," it said. I turned to find that the person was none other than Ace, the hero of former TokiToki City. I merely shrugged.
"Just not my thing I guess," I answered. Ace shook his head.
"Jealous it's not you they're celebrating?"
"Not really. I'd prefer to avoid the spotlight."
"Don't let Hercule hear you say that," Ace joked. I couldn't help but laugh. He wasn't wrong.
"Why aren't you celebrating?" I asked.
"Supreme Kai of Time noticed that you weren't around, so I went to get you," he explained.
"I highly doubt Chronoa would notice that I was missing."
"Don't doubt it. She actually did."
"Yeah, sure."
"So, what are we waiting for? Come on!"
"Fine," I said. I began flying back to the Time Nest, when a wormhole opened in the center of the city.
What the hell?" said Ace.
"Get the other Time Patrollers here. NOW!" I yelled. Ace nodded and headed for the Time Nest. Just then, out of the wormhole, an individual had arrived. He was a relatively skinny Earthling with dark red hair and green eyes, and he wore a gi with the Time Breaker Insignia on it. The Earthling looked down at me in disappointment.
"Don't tell me that you are this city's only defense," he said. "I'd be very disappointed if you are."
I didn't know what to say. I'm not going to lie, I was afraid. However, I regained my composure and got into my battle stance.
"I am Frostbyte, a Time Patroller. State your business!" I said.
"Oh, it's simple really," said the Earthling. "I am going to destroy the Time Nest, and everyone in-"
"OVER MY DEAD BODY! FINAL KAMEHAMEHA!" I yelled as I fired a Final Kamehameha at him. It made contact, but I could tell that it did little to no damage. The Earthling merely stood in place with a smirk on his face.
"That can be arranged," he said.
He then punched me in the gut faster than I could react. I coughed out blood and was sent crashing into the Time Nest. The Time Patrollers there stopped what they were doing and turned to see what was going on. I groaned and stood back up, only to be slapped by an angry Elder Kai.
"What in the universe do you think you're doing?" He yelled. I rubbed the back of my head.
"Ow, take it easy," I said.
"Please do," said the Earthling, who floated above them. "I want to be one who inflicts the pain."
The Elder Kai stepped back in fear of the Earthling. I could tell that the Elder Kai knew who he was. Now it was my turn to ask.
"Who are you?" I asked. The Earthling's smirk widened.
"I am Golotou, Destroyer of Time!"
Two Rookie Time Patrollers flew up and attempted to attack Golotou. He merely grabbed their faces, then did something unthinkable.
He accelerated their ages until they withered into nothing but dust. I can still hear the screams. He then raised his arm up, about to fire a Super Vanishing Ball.
"Hear me Time Patrollers!" He yelled. "Your final hour has arrived! Your imbecile of a Supreme Kai of Time will now perish with the rest of you, and all of history will disappear! Now DIE!"
Golotou threw down the Super Vanishing Ball and it slowly made its way to the surface.
It was over. We were all going to die. I knew it, Chronoa knew it, and Golotou knew it. I closed my eyes and accepted my fate.
That was when I was consumed by a wormhole, and that's when my adventure began.
