Chaor was used to his advisors being on time, if not a few minutes early. Takinom usually arrived after Agitos did, dispite their rivalry for Chaor's favor. Agitos smiled as the clock above the doors counted down the seconds. Chaor grew more worried, but he said nothing. With thirty seconds left, Chaor was starting to sweat. Even if she did show up on time, she would still be later than normal.

Time was up.

"Where is the woman!?" he shouted as he rose from his seat

"She probably overslept." Agitos almost chuckled at the idea, but Chaor would not be amused

"When I find her.." Chaor said to himself as he stormed out of the room.

While guards searched the city, Chaor hastily took his mowercycle to Fear Valley in hopes that she really had just overslept. He banged on the door just for the sake of being civil, but he was ready to just knock it down. Nivenna rushed to the door to see who would dare travel through Fear Valley. Whoever it was, there had to be an emergency.

"I'm coming!" Nivenna said as she rushed to the door. Her heart sunk when she saw who it was. "Chaor!"

"Where's Takinom?" he demanded to know

"She should be at your palace." Nivenna gave Chaor an answer that didn't want to hear.

"Take me to her room."

Nivenna didn't dare disobey or question her ruler. Neither of them said a word as she lead him down countless halls and up more flights of stairs than he cared to count. Nivenna came to a sudden stop just outside of Takinom's room. The double doors had an elaborate design and golden handles.

"Wait here." Chaor told Nivenna as he opened the doors. There was no telling for sure if this was some sort of trap from another tribe, or even from Van Bloot's troops. Chaor was cautious as he neared the bed. Takinom seemed to be sleeping peacefully on her back, but that could have been from a sleep sting.

Chaor looked at her for a few seconds before carefully pulling back the covers to inspect her for even the slightest scratch. Nivenna gently knocked on an open door to get her leader's attention. Chaor nodded to her and put a finger over his lips to remind Nivenna to be quiet.

"Aren't you going to wake her up?" Nivenna asked softly

"No." Chaor said as covered Takinom back up and began to walk out of the room. "Let her sleep."
