Hermione stood on the platform waiting on Harry and Ron to arrive. She just could not wait to tell them the good news! She had been so excited when she received her letter. Though everyone was sure that she would get it she had been surprised. She still couldn't believe it. SHE WAS HEAD GIRL!!! Something she had worked for, for so long. She wondered who the Head Boy would be. As she pondered on this Harry and Ron had snuck up behind her. Ron came up and but his hands over her eyes while Harry grabbed both her arms she jumped about a mile high and then they let go and started to laugh. After she had calmed down from being scared they started walking towards the train and she told them about her receiving the position of Head Girl.
"Hermione we are so proud of you, we were sure you would get it!! But I wonder who got Head Boy."
"Thats what I was thinking about when you two walked up and scared the crap out of me!"
"Well as Ron has said we are very proud of you."
Once they had all their luggage on the train Hermione went to the Head Boy and Girl compartment while Harry and Ron went to find Ginny. Once she found the compartment she walked in and found none other than Malfoy.
"What are you doing here?!"
"Why else would I be here Granger? I made Head Boy DUH! And to think most people think your smart."
"Oh shut it Ferret!"
"And why should I take orders from a mud blood like you?"
Hermione stormed out of the compartment to find Harry and Ron. After a few minutes of searching she found them in a compartment towards the front of the train and she storms in and yells "you wont believe who made Head Boy!" Startled Harry and Ginny stop flirting and Ron and Neville stop talking about something or other and Ron says "who?" and she replied "Malfoy."
"What?! How did he get Head Boy?"
"I don't know Ron but this was supposed to be my perfect year and its already all screwed up!"
Draco couldn't believe his luck. Why oh why did Hermione, little miss know it all, have to be Head Girl? Of course she would get it she had always made better marks than him so why wouldn't she get it? Oh merlin this was going to be a LONG year. He already had to much to worry about with his so called father trying to pressure him into joining the dark side and he just didn't want to be some stupid guys lap dog. But every time he told his father this his father would beat him. So in order to stay away from him and his failed attempts to get his son on the dark side he cam back to Hogwarts even though he had wanted to run away, FAR AWAY. But he didn't want to worry his mother. So he decided to finish his school career and then take her with him and then run away. And then that dratted letter came in and his mother was so happy! Her son was going to bring the Malfoy name, he was going to better himself and make something of his life unlike his father. So he had accepted the duty of Head Boy. Now he wasn't so sure that he wanted to. The year hadn't even started yet and he was already ready for it to be over!!!
