after luna was banished celestia thought everything would be fine, but it wasnt. nightmare moon's powers remained on earth and manifested itself.

"The night, will last forever!" those 5 words were still ringing in Celestia's ear as she flew back to Canterlot. "How, how could I have sent my own sister to the moon." Celestia questioned herself as she walked into her bedroom for a good night's sleep.

"I'm going to have to lower the moon and raise the sun all by myself now huh?" Celestia thought tears running down her face. "I've sure got my work cut out for me." She closed her eyes and started to dream.

Celestia dreamed of the everfree forest, covered in a fog so thick she couldn't see 3 feet ahead of her. "You thought nightmare moon's powers were banished too, didn't you Celestia?" A deep voice said. "You thought by banishing your sister all your problems were over well you were wrong. For I am still here." A pony then appeared out of the fog. His coat as black as the night his eyes as dark blue as Luna's mane, his tail and main short but white as the fog surrounding them.

"I am nocte, and I will finish what luna started!" Nocte then shouted retreating into the mist."The night, will last forever!" those 5 words were still ringing in Celestia's ear as she flew back to Canterlot.
