The screams still hadn't left Zoro's mind, even though it had been a full 48 hours since they were rescued. At the memory, Zoro felt an entirely new wave of guilt run through him. Luffy, he hadn't protected Luffy, and he knew that Ace wouldn't have left his troublesome little brother to Zoro if he had known this would happen.

Sparing a glance towards his charge, he frowned. The rubber man was acting normally. Normally, after being mercilessly tortured for eleven hours straight. The pained yells hadn't stopped until the poor teen's voice had gone completely hoarse, and even then the unimaginable anguish in his eyes haunted the swordsman.

Former Pirate Hunter Zoro usually didn't worry about Luffy, but this wasn't a usual situation either. Even the crew wasn't sure how to act, and as a first mate, it was his duty to fix it right away. Luffy was very obvious with his feelings, but right now, three days ago hadn't even happened to him. However, it would not be soon forgotten by anyone else. The bloody bandages (bandages that could have, no, should have been Zoro's) that his crewmates were so fond of drawing their eyes to were proof of that.

Standing from his claimed spot in the corner, familiar boots stomped over to a certain rubber man's destination. Squatting down, he started in a firm, yet gentle tone.

"Captain, you and me both know this isn't the right way to deal with this."
