A/N : Recently got back into Warframe so I thought I'd make a short just for fun. For those of you reading Dance of Spears, an update should be coming in a few days as soon as I finish my English Language Oral next Tuesday. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!

Disclaimer : Warframe belongs to Digital Extremes. If you don't play it, I suggest you try it out!

An Everlasting Spark

Awakening

When she first awoke from her slumber, he was there. A silent cold that followed her wherever she went. An ever watchful guardian that defended her even when she didn't need the protection.

Finding Her

He remembers her. From a time long past. He remembers her smile, hot and fierce, just like the shell she was forced into. And when he met her once more, he promised he wouldn't let her go, not again.

The War Within

The mountain was a cold place. Colder than even her inner fire. She could feel the cold piercing through her skin, a sensation of burning which she had never felt before. Without her Warframe, she realised, she was weak. And as she struggled into the cave, she swore she would never be this weak again.

Hunter

The Queens' narration unlocked her memories slowly. She remembered the ship. How the adults rampaged like madmen, killing each other and the children who were too weak to fight back. They were nothing but animals by then, so she hunted. Hunted with the fire that sparked within her. Hunted the men and women who had murdered her friends in cold blood.

The Orokin

She heard movement and jolted out of her sleep quickly. Another adult? The footsteps were too loud to be a child's. But she was sure she had killed all of them already, burnt their bodies until nothing but ash was left. A hand reached out to touch her, and she exploded with a blinding fire filled with the power of the Sun she so wished to see again.

Cold

He watched her cry in her sleep, calling out the names of their friends and he held her closer. The ship was a horrible place for all of them even if their experiences were different. When the ship had passed into the void, he was in the engine room, desperate for some cold to save him from the excruciating heat. The moment he came too, his body was freezing and the adults were crazy. Desperate for some heat, he had tried to share another's. Watching the boy freeze into a solid block of ice had put a stop to that plan altogether. Then he had met her.

Memories

His name was lost to her, but she now remembers the boy who sat away from the others. The boy who looked so confused when she tapped his shoulder and survived. The cold boy. The Frost that stood vigilant beside her when they refused to use the Warframes the weird man had created. The Frost that found her. The Frost that had been her guardian angel for the past few months.

Awakening Part II

She wakes up from the dream in his cold arms, her face lighting up in a smile for the first time in a long while. She stands with his help and immediately starts initialising transference.

"Where are you going? I can help yo…"

But she disappears before he can finish. The last thing he sees is her mouthing the words, 'I love you'.

Finale

"You scared me. I thought I'd lose you again, after all this time." He held her close, the heat reminding him of better times within the Zariman.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too, hothead." She pouts.

"You meanie! I ought to teach you a good lesson!" She pushed him to the ground, starting the tickle fest which ended as always, with him as the winner.

"Do you ever regret killing them?" He asks. She ponders about it for a moment and shrugs.

"No. It led me back to you, and that's all that matters." He smiles. A smile that looked like an everlasting spark in her eyes.
