It was a dark and stormy night. At least, it was for Starfire. Crime had been scarce for the past few months and everyone on the team was enjoying their rare free time. Beast Boy was in the kitchen testing new vegetarian recipes, Cyborg was working on the T-Car, Raven was practicing a new silencing spell (which she secretly intended to use on Beast Boy), and Robin was running the obstacle course. However, something or someone did not seem right.
"Hiya Star!" exclaimed Beast Boy, who was busy making tofu lasagna.
Storming into the kitchen with a look of such deep anger, even Trigon would envy, the alien princess retorted "I do not wish to do the talking with you friend Beast Boy."
Seeing Starfire, the normally happy-go-lucky Teen Titan, behave in such a way severely confused the green teen. He could understand Raving being like this, but Starfire!? She was even destroying the furniture in a fit of rage, turning the couch into a mere pile of ashes with her starbolts.
"What's wrong with you!?" he yelled, as he pinned her to the wall in an attempt to prevent more destruction.
Unfortunately for Beast Boy, he had forgotten how strong his alien friend was. As a result, he found himself held up by his collar, at the mercy of a furious Tameranian.
She began screaming in his face, "What is wrong with me!? What is wrong with me!?
Trying to hold in his sudden urge to scream for help, Beast Boy took a deep breath. "Well you seemed angry for some reason and…I…um..thought I could help."
Starfire released the gasping Beast Boy and began to sob into his shoulder. "I am sorry for behaving so foolishly friend Beast Boy. I have been going so long without the mustard that I have lost all control to the craving.
"Why don't you just drink some mustard then?"
"I would, but sadly my bottle has run dry."
Not sure on how to comfort someone who just nearly killed him, Beast Boy began awkwardly patting her on the back.
"Um..Star you know you can always just get more in the city."
Her frown disappeared at the sound of this. "What!? You mean there are places where I may purchase the mustard?"
"Yeah, Star."
"But surely such a luxury must cost many dollars. There is no way I could afford more of my favorite beverage."
"Actually, Star, it's not as expensive as you think. I bought this today for my tofu sandwiches, but I suppose you need it more than me."
She snatched the bottle of mustard out of his hand and quickly drank every drop.
"Thank you very much friend Beast Boy! I feel much better now!" The girl hugged Beast Boy tightly, nearly killing him the second time in the same morning, then happily floated into her room.
Just then, Cyborg and Raven walked in.
"Hey Raven, are you up for some waffles!" the metal man shouted.
Raven muttered under her breath, "Do you really have to ask?"
"That's just great!" yelled Cyborg, looking at the broken waffle iron set before him. "The waffle iron's busted!"
Raven's face darkened as her eyes began glowing red and her cloak began to spin violently.
Beast Boy sighed, "Here we go again."
The End
Author's Note: I apologize for this being so short. I honestly only spent about 30 min on this, and merely used it as an experiment to see if I could even write fiction. Although I will be spending more time on stories in the future, and will hopefully get progressively better, I feel that I will most likely leave this as is.
