The ride was peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. The only reminder or the heartbreak was the dirt still clinging to his knees. He was tempted to pinch himself to see if he was dreaming, but he knew that this was reality. His son was dead and there was nothing that could be done about it. The stares during the service had not bothered it.. The reminder that he had lost not only his son but his humanity was too much for him to bear. He locked away all the painful memories as the bus pull back in to Oz.
