Marriage Issues

"Ah… ahem." Kate said clearing her throat.

Tony pulled away from Kate, feeling socially awkward towards her.

"Uh, yeah… um… er, sorry." He said.

"Why?"

"I- I mean, I just kissed you. Doesn't that make you want to slap me or something?"

"Do you want me to slap you?"

"No! I just you know… thought you might…"

They stood there, each not knowing what to do.

"Er, um… do you want to go and just get pizza or something? My treat." Tony said, in an attempt to ease up the awkwardness.

"Yeah, why not. It's not like we're breaking rule 12 or anything."

Tony let off a fake laugh. Then silence.

"YOU KNOW WHAT!" he suddenly yelled, "WHAT THE FUCK!"

Kate jumped in surprise.

"W-what is it?" She asked, scared by her friends sudden outburst.

"This isn't right!" he shouted, "You and I should be able to be together, in front of Gibbs!"

"Tony! We could get fired!"

"Shit, Kate! I never feel right kissing you anymore! Not when the team doesn't know!"

"Tony, I —"

"Kate, I don't marry you, so that we could keep it a secret from Gibbs! I married you because I love you! And I want the whole world to know!"

"Is that what you really want?" Kate asked in a soft whisper.

This caught Tony by surprise.

"Yeah," he finally said, "yeah, yeah it is."

Next Day…

NCIS Bullpen

It was the end of the day, and Gibbs, McGee, Ducky, and Abby were about to leave for the night. Tony and Kate stood next to each other, getting ready to leave.

"Hey, Boss." Tony said. Gibbs and the others stopped.

"Is there something you want, DiNozzo?"

Tony nodded, "Yeah."

"Well," Gibbs said in anticipation, "what is it?"

At that moment, Tony took a deep breath, glanced at Kate, then gripped her hand, and pulled her into him; then French kissed her. The mouth of the entire team fell open, except Gibbs.

"HOLY CRAP!" Abby squealed, "YOU BROKE, GIBBS' RULE 12!"

"It's more than that," Kate said, "we're… we're…"

"Married." Tony finished.

Gibbs turned to leave.

"Are we fired!" Kate called after him.

"Fired?" He said turning to face them, "why would you be fired? I've been waiting for you two finally tell everyone!"

"Y-you knew!"

"Why wouldn't I?" Then he turned and left, leaving everyone speechless.
