A note on a desk fluttered because of a breeze coming through an open
window. It skimmed down onto the floor, going out the open door leading to
a garden. A pair of ice-blue eyes followed the paper as it was swept toward
them. The owner of those cold eyes picked up the paper and they scanned it
quickly at first, then more slowly. Then they fold it, once, twice, and
then ripped it. They scattered the pieces on the ground and walked away.
Ch.1-Innocent
Christie looked out her apartment window. It looked over the ocean, where a storm blew over right now. She focused on the reflection in the window. Cold, ice-blue eyes stared back her, mocking her. Why is it that everything changes? Why can't they ever stay the same?
Do you really not know? You are as stupid as everyone says you are.
Leave me alone... you don't belong here anymore... I don't belong to you anymore...
Yes, you do belong to me.
NO! I don't belong to you! I don't belong to anyone!
You mean you don't belong, you don't belong anywhere.
...You're right...
So? What are you going to do about it?
"Obey..." Christie whispered. The voice died down, and all that was left were the words of the note she had written one day.
In a dream, I'm alive. In reality, I am dead. I don't belong in this world, I belong in dreams. I belong where you can catch a star, And where you can journey wide and far. I belong to dreams, Where I can live. I belong to dreams, Where I can breathe. I belong in dreams, Where I can love. I belong in dreams, Where I can fly with ease. I belong past the clouds and stars. I belong past the moon and sun. I belong past eternity and beyond.
She had no idea why she wrote it, she just picked up a pen one day and scribbled something unknown on paper and left it there. Where do you belong, if not in the world, or me?
I... I... Belong... In dreams...
