Heavenly conversation.
"I loved him the moment I saw him" Terry smiled, reliving the memory.
"He had to work hard to get me" Helen laughed "And he did! He used anything to get my attention, except bringing me flowers at work!"
"Why didn't it work out for you?" Terry's voice was hesitant. Even here in heavenly surroundings you shouldn't be too curious about somebody's worldly life.
Helen did not seem to mind. A small smile played around her lips when she said: "Two cops together brings too much tension in a relationship. Dave wanted me to stay home and take care of our future children and I wanted to stay on the force. Make a career and have children much later or not at all. I think I wasn't ready to give up the dream I always had to be a good cop."
The women looked at each other with an understanding look.
"I think David was a bit old-fashioned when it came to his women, dont you think?" Helen asked. "The wife in the house with the children and the man taking care of the money!"
Terry laughed. "I think you're right, but by the time I met him he had changed. He never asked me to stop working or anything."
Her voice was soft and a bit sad when she added: "I wish we would have had a little more time together. I wish there would be more for him to remember about me. I wish I could have given him a child so he wouldn't have been alone after I left".
"He's not alone, Terry, he'll never be alone. He has Hutch!" Helen sounded determined. "And as long as they're together he'll never be alone!"
Two angels looked at each other and smiled a knowing smile.
