AOF: Welp, this is my first FE fanfiction. XD This is a request for a cutie on Tumblr who's had a crappy weekend. This is probably pretty OOC.

AOF: I don't own any part of Fire Emblem, except for one copy of Awakening that I play religiously.

AOF: Also, this is set during the two-year period between Ch. 11 and Ch. 12. Enjoy!

"Maribelle, look! We should get some candy. It looks pretty good, and I saw Gaius over here earlier."

The noblewoman smiled a thin smile. "You've really taken after that thief, dear." Lately, Lissa had been spending too much time with Gaius, in Maribelle's eyes.

Anna had brought the Shepards to a festival in the Outrealms, one that Maribelle was actually enjoying with Lissa around. With the war over, the two had much more free time together.

"Hey, Princess!" Gaius' voice grated on Maribelle's ears. What possibly could he want?

Lissa turned to Gaius, smiling cheerfully. "Hey, Gaius!" She greeted him.

It only took a second for him to acknowledge the bright party hat sitting on her hat. He tapped it with his pointer finger.

"Well, at least someone's in the mood to have fun," He teased. "Twinkles over there looks like she drank a bad elixir."

Maribelle scowled. "What do you need?" She demanded of him.

The thief shrugged. "I noticed you two about to go to that candy booth-" He pointed at the one Lissa had seen, "-and wanted to warn you, stuff there's no good. So bitter, I don't even think Stahl'd eat it!"

"Is that so." Maribelle wasn't amused.

Lissa frowned. "Aw, really?" She asked, in disappointment.

"I can show you where that's better candy, though," Gaius added, raised an eyebrow and smirking. He pulled a bright lollipop out of his pocket. "I got three of these babies just a couple stalls over!"

Gaius took Lissa's other hand, sneakily giving her the lollipop, but Maribelle had had enough. With a little more force than necessary, she tugged Lissa away from him.

"Excuse me, but nobody asked you to do anything!" She huffed. "Lissa, let's leave this brute by himself."

"But, Maribelle, wait-!"

Maribelle certainly did not wait. She marched off with Lissa in tow, until the princess wriggled out of her grasp.

"Maribelle, what was that about?" She asked, sounding upset. "He just wanted to take us to get something better. That was so rude!"

Sighing, Maribelle pursed her lips. "I am tired of that man elbowing in on the precious time I get to spend with you," She huffed. "And, honestly, he's a very bad influence for you."

Lissa frowned, cocking her head. Platinum ponytails bobbed to the side. "Gaius?" She confirmed. "He's not that bad...he's actually really nice!"

Her friend continued to scowl. Lissa gasped in realization.

"Oh my gods! You're jealous, aren't you, Maribelle?"

Maribelle flushed pink. "I..." She glanced away. "If you want to call it that, I suppose so."

Hearing Maribelle's confession, Lissa laughed and wrapped her arms around the noblewoman in a hug.

"Silly, someone like Gaius couldn't take me away from my best friend!" She giggled in Maribelle's ear. "Why don't I buy you some chocolate? I bet you'll love it!"

It was the best chocolate Maribelle had ever eaten.
