"The time hast finally come chief," The Major grinned as he said it.
The young boy's only reply was a soft musical intake of breath. He truly did look excited. The Major wondered if the boy really knew what was going to happen or if he was just excited to finally meet his mother. A noise was intruding. The soft hiss of wheels and the harsh click of military boots intruded on his pleasant train of thought.
"MAJOR!" The Colonel all but screamed, " the time for vat?"
The Major's heels clicked as he stood at attention. He was not sure what was more distasteful; still having to use this salute or actually having to salute these men. The Major saluted anyway, "Long live the Fatherland! In accordance vith Der Führer's special order 666... I haf completed my special duty und just now returned."
" The arrogant Colonel stomped towards him, "You... all of you... Vat the HELL are you doing?"
"I cannot answer that question Herr Colonel," the Major beamed, "Under special order for our late Führer, I cannot divulge such information no matter how highly un officer asks me," this could certainly get fun.
"These veighty indiscretions are in direct violation of our orders," the Colonel was becoming furious.
The Major did not want to look up at this man. He tilted his head down but kept eye contact, "Der Führer's special orders take precedence over all other command structures."
"How dare you take the title of the FÜHRER upon your self..." the Colonel was beginning to sweat. How dare this short, fat little man try to make a fool of his superiors.
The Major grinned, "I am no more that a petty official following his orders," and what orders the were. The Major wondered when his little princess would finally awaken. He was sure it wold be glorious. In his musings the Major forgot about his current conversation. He was speaking without paying attention until the Colonel hit him. Ah, finally this becomes interesting.
