The higher we fly, the harder we land.

The death of Lily Luna Potter hit everyone hard. Albus Potter recounts her final minutes in his moving eulogy.

I never understood exactly why she had to die. Her red locks floating behind her as she gently accelerated her broom through the air. Her sly grin as she took dive after dive, avoiding the bludgers and ultimately catching the snitch.

The look of contentedness on her face as we watched her win another game for the Holyhead Harpies. She was a legacy player, her mother Ginny played 10 seasons with them, and when a child of an existing player, past or current, was drafted they were known as legacies.

Lily's final game went down in history as the heartstopping spectacle it was. A member of the Bristletoe Bears Fan Club decided the competition was too strong and stunned Lily off her broom. Of course, it was not pure chance that it was her, we found out later, it was because they couldn't get to James or myself, they decided to hurt Lily, to hurt our parents.

She hit the ground, and she never woke up.

I'm glad she was stunned when she fell, she would have not seen the ground coming, and she would have not felt much pain.

I still don't know why my sister had to die. She was a loving, caring, beautiful person with a flair for life only matched by our mothers.

Lily, I love you. I will always love and miss you, and I'll never understand why you had to die.
