(Not much to say except some of the words may be slightly off from what some of you remember. I referred to the Japanese versions with subs to give me what they were saying. That and I knew because I take Japanese as well so don't worry. It's all correct.)

Rating - K

Summary (Extended Version) - Lifestream. The source of life on the planet. The same force that brought him to her, even now. (One-Shot)

Disclaimer - Sadly, no. I don't own FFVII: Advent Children. If I did Cloud wouldn't be sad anymore…xD

One Shot: Pointless Apologetic Guilt

Cerulean blue eyes cast downward, then rose and shifted rather slowly to the left, which even then still only greeted him with more of the white area that seemed to glow with a light of it own. As the seconds ticked by an ever-so familiar smell seemed to drift into his senses. But before he could even think to question it, a voice penetrated his memory.

A voice that, even now, brought emotions he'd believed had long deserted him.

"So you came, huh?"

His eyes widened a mere fraction at the rush of feelings that slammed into him just as the gentle bell-like voice echoed into the vast space that had been made just for them, in this moment.

Cloud couldn't help but to further glance towards and almost over his left shoulder, knowing the same smiling flower girl in pink was at his back.

"Even when you're about to break yourself, right?"

This time when she spoke and just as the last words left her lips, a slender hand folded over his left arm and his eyes became once more, downcast. "But that's probably a good sign."

As I she knew Cloud would not speak even then, Aeris did so for him following her own personal assessment. "I have a question." Once more her cheerful tone echoed out among the flowers that had seemingly popped up around him. But they weren't just any flowers.

These were the ones she'd grown in a place where it was said to be impossible.

Removing her hand from his arm, Aeris folded it back underneath her left one in front of her as she spoke her question. "Why did you come here?"

Cloud's blonde locks swayed back and forth as he shook his head slightly, searching for the answer within himself. "I think I want to be forgiven." He nodded, following his confession as if to affirm it not only to her, but to himself as well. "Yeah. I want to be forgiven." His lips once more pressed together in the silence that followed.

The answer he received wasn't the one he was expecting but it was all she could give. With a small chuckle she parted her lips to speak that would both plague him and release him. "By who?"

Cloud's ocean blue depths only parted wider as he shifted his head to once more glance rather quickly over his shoulder, astonishment reading on his face.

As he turned, Aeris was no longer with her back to his; she was facing him straight on with a gentle smile, her hands still clasped together in front of her.

Following her example, Cloud turned to fully presented himself to her only to have her separate the small distance between them as he did.

Just as Aeris pulled back, she pressed a slender finger to her lips, just where his own had been a second before. Her head shook slightly as his lips parted to speak, to ask her more.

Even before he'd managed to move back towards her in hopes of changing the situation, a moment later the bright light of the area overwhelmed him. It left him with her last words still ringing gently in his ears.

"It's alright now."

Cloud huffed out a slight chuckle to himself. Though he didn't want to admit it, she was right. She'd given him nothing but herself, which was all it took to make her words true.

(Okay. So it's not very long, but the scene in the movie only lasted like 23 or so seconds. You try making that last 5+ pages without getting repetitive or pointless. xD)
