I. Violet
For Lord Voldemort magic had always been violet.
Even a lifetime ago, when he had still just been orphan boy Tom Riddle, who could not yet name what it was, that made him special, even then he had always known, which color he associated with it:
Violet.
Violet meant extraordinary.
Everything they were not.
Violet was the color of a king's robe.
He was extraordinary. There were no men like him.
He was going to be a king, the king.
He was magic.
Tom Riddle clung to these fantasies, caged at grey Wool's Orphanage.
Lord Voldemort thrived on this knowledge.
