WHY
A/N: Hi guys, first fanfic in the Maximum Ride fandom. I actually thought it would be about Iggy because he's my favorite, but then this came out instead. I am big shipper of Fax, and I think they're pretty adorable :)
"Why do you love me?"
It was one of those rare moments when Max and Fang were emotional. Normally they always had battles and world saving to do, so they never really got to talk. However now on the island everything was peaceful and calm. They had gotten through everything, Dylan was no longer a problem, and now they had time to just be around each other. It had been the happiest time in Fang's life.
When Max asked why Fang didn't know how to answer. Not that he didn't love her. He loved her to death and would do anything for her. Just that there were so many reasons.
He loves her because of her strength. Both physically and emotionally. She knew how to look so calm so the others wouldn't freak out. A couple of times she slipped, but it would be nearly impossible not to. She was amazing. And she could kick anybody's ass.
He loves her because despite her strength she wasn't heartless. Far from it actually. She had the biggest heart in the whole world, it's just reserved for good people. She cares so much about everyone else she forgets to care about herself sometimes. That 's become Fang's job, and he is quite a happy worker.
He loves her because she's beautiful in every possible definition of the world. Even in the morning when her hair's a mess.
He loves her because she has this amazing wonderful personality. Most girls that are pretty (none of them coming even remotely close to Max though) are truly awful human beings. Not Max though. Max is kind and funny.
He loves her because they've been through literally everything together. Even the apocalypse. Not many others can say that. They've been through deaths, many many battles, betrayals, Dylan, breakups, makeups and everything in between. And no matter what, they loved each other through all of it, even if at times it may have seemed like they didn't.
He loves her because she loves him. The great amazing Maximum Ride loves Fang, the emo (in Iggy's opinion) avian human hybrid. The disappearing emotionless boy who broke her heart then put it back together. She loves him almost as much as he loves her (though this could cause argument).
He loves her for all of these things, but instead of giving her the complete list he sums it up in one short sentence.
"I love you because you're Max." Then he smiles and kisses her and she smiles and kisses back.
The list was too cheesy anyway.
A/N: Okay, not the best ending, but eh, it's hard. You should know how IMPOSSIBLE it was to write this. I kept starting a story, then I'd hate it and delete it. I did have this idea (ish) in my head, and I was determined to write it. I hope you liked it, I think it came out okay.
