Lizzie: Yeah, I have no excuse, except that the plot bunny that gave me this idea is rabid...

Muse Judai: -Looks warily at said plot bunny- You sure that it's safe having it here, Liz-chan?

Lizzie: Yup! It's happy since I'm using it's idea. It wont bite anyone... for now. Anyway, you do the Disclaimer!

Muse Judai: Er... Okay. -Edges away from plot bunny- Liz-chan doesn't own me, Daitokuji-sensei or any part of Yu-Gi-Oh GX A part of our spirits just inhabit her head to contribute ideas for stories and drive her insane.

Lizzie: And you do that last part very well. Anyway, this story is before the whole Shadow riders thing.

It was a normal day in the Duel Academia, It was a nice day, but, unfortunately, all the students were stuck inside the classroom where Daitokuji-sensei was once again trying to teach the students Alchemy. And, once again, Judai Yuki had fallen asleep in class. Judai often did this and ws enjoying his nap but it was not going to last much longer.

"Yuki Judai! Wake up!" Daitokuji-sensei yelled. Judai's head shot up quickly.

"Ah, Gomen, Daitokuji-sensei." Judai apologised, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

"You must pay attention, Judai-kun. It is important to understand Alchemy to understand Dueling properly." Daitokuji-sensei said patiently.

"But isn't everyone an Alchemist already?" Judai asked with a look of confusion on his face.

"What do you mean, Aniki?" Sho asked.

"Well, Alchemy is about breaking something down and reforming it, right?" Judai asked. At Daitokuji-sensei's nod he continued. "Well, when people make friends they break down any masks that the person they make friends with has to know the real them, and then they have an influence on them that, no matter how small, reforms the person they made friends with. So we all are Alchemists, technically." Judai finished. There was a long pause in which everyone stared at Judai. Then, Daitokuji-sensei beamed at Judai.

"Well said Judai-kun! You have grasped the basics of Alchemy very well!" Daitokuji-sensei said happily.

"Yuki actually said something... Intelligent? Oh no, The apocalypse is coming!" Manjoume yelled. The students started laughing.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Judai asked. This only made the students laugh harder. The class soon went back to normal and Judai fell asleep again. Daitokuji-sensei rolled his eyes slightly under his eyelids but let him sleep.

'You may not realise it, Judai-kun, but you are probably the greatest Alchemist in the world if we look at it in your way.'
