Kissing You Doesn't Make Any Sense

[AN: Thanks to my reviewers, I was able to make some edits to help improve this fic. However, I stand by my use the semi-colon because it's correct.]

Courtney allowed Shelly to approach. She allowed Shelly to caress the side of her face and to gaze at her with sultry intensity; the kind that made Courtney's database to glitch and made her knees weak. She didn't want to allow Shelley to have such power of her but whenever she came close; everything Courtney thought she knew seemed to melt. It didn't make sense and she hated it.

It wasn't a regular occurrence, thankfully, but when it happened time seemed to slow. Seconds became longer and every moment lingered in the midst of an overstayed welcome. Courtney hated it.

She didn't hate Shelly though. How could she? While she may be the cause of this dreadful on-goings, Courtney couldn't bring herself to hate Shelley. Oh no, it was quite the opposite. Whenever Shelly was around, Courtney's attention became fixated by her presence. She had parameters the likes of which Courtney had ever seen before. She was tall, sultry and had confidence that swept over her muscular frame. It made Courtney feel miniscule by comparison.

'Hello, sweetheart.' Shelly whispered into Courtney's ear. Courtney could smell the salt of the sea on Shelley. She was too close and it was making Courtney uncomfortable hot. She fidgeted with her skirt. 'Hello.' Courtney replied and Shelley chuckled. It was like a howl of a violent storm more than a laugh.

The exchange was the length of formalities. The proceeding event was the importance of their meeting. Courtney allowed Shelly to come into her personal space and to lean it until she consumed all of Courtney's vision, and in turn, her thoughts.

Courtney analysed the "new" things about Shelly. Her hair seemed to be longer and perhaps even wilder. She smelt of a foreign sea. Her lipstick was a shade darker than usual and it also smelt plummy.

Whilst Courtney's attention was pinned onto her lips, Shelly took it as invite for intimacy. The two began to kiss. Shelly tilted Courtney's head upwards, slightly and gently, and the two began to kiss. It always started slow because Shelly knew that how Courtney liked it but Courtney had never told her that. She just knew.

Courtney began to relax as the kiss grew in length. She eased around Shelly and dropped her defences, just enough for Shelly to see her chance to be a bit rougher. Shelly grabbed Courtney's hand and then brought her in a bit closer. There was a lot of height difference between them and that was something Shelly relished.

Courtney closed her eyes and time was fractured. It refused to flow naturally anymore yet it still passed. It was just; Courtney couldn't document it like she normally could. But because Shelly was here, that was forgivable.

Shelly pulled back. She smiled and Courtney touched her lips. She could feel lipstick on them. Shelly smiled. 'Bye-bye, hun.' she said and like a summer rain, she was gone. Courtney watched as she left. She allowed it but barely. It was naughty but she wondered when Shelly would return.

Soon, her normal thought pattern returned. Courtney remembered her duties and decided to reorganise her mindscape. She attempted delete the memories of Shelly but she merely moved them to another folder, one which would only ever be opened at a safer time, when there weren't people around to suspect things and when she didn't have any duties to perform. Courtney wondered when that would be. She always seemed to have duties.
