Tony and Ziva flew to Tel Aviv in science. Neither of them said a word to one another or anyone else. Ziva looked out the small window the whole time and Tony stared at her. They had similar ways of hiding their pain. They both would deny feeling anything, and stay mad until everything cleared up. They had another similarity though, that Gibbs even thought was strange. They both had heavy tears in their eyes, ready to fall at any moment.

As Tony glared at Ziva with anger, he repeated in his head again and again, "If you feel like running today, I would understand." Tony believed that he and Ziva could never be close friends after this. He believed there would never be a shared smile, or a movie night. He also knew that Ziva did not care if she never saw him again.

But he was wrong. Ziva never had a shoulder to cry on even as a child. Tony though, was her shoulder for over three years. He listened to her and talked to her and saw her as more than a trained killer. He was a friend, and everyone she knew at NCIS was her family. . She knew that if she lost everyone she met in America she would feel worse than she did when her baby sister died. She knew she was not much better with without Tony.

Tony saw a tear fall from Ziva's eyes and she wiped it quickly before anyone else could notice. Tony felt a surge of anger and guilt. He knew that he had caused the tears, but he also wanted to stop them, though he knew better. "Damn girl dry your eyes… you stole my heart and then you kicked it aside." He said to himself.

Ziva still had part of him, and she always would. They would always be a part of one another, and their memories would always include one another's faces and smiles.

But bad memories were now added along with the face of the man Tony killed, the same face of someone Ziva cared about. "No girl, you can't see, when he's inside you know there's no room for me." Tony added, knowing Michael Rivkin would always be in Ziva's head too. She took a chance, to find a better man, giving all his love away.

"And I used to think that you were all I would need." Ziva said quietly and no one but herself heard. But he had found someone else too, and Ziva knew that she had been more important to Tony that she ever thought she could be.

"You lift me up and then you throw me back down" they both said at the same time and looked up at the roof of the plane, trying to hold their tears.

Few quiet hours later they landed in Israel. Everyone from the plane now looking at one another worried of what was to come, and repeating the same line, "If you feel like running today, you know I'd understand." But none of them knowing which one would choose to go.
