Boom! The Cherry Bombs Explode

or

What? Me Worry?

Disclaimer - I finally own everything Stargate! Well, the dvds anyway. But that's all.

Pairing - Daniel/Vala

Summary - Future fic. Continuation - sort of- of my previous fic of "They Came on April 15th" in that it also has Mad Magazine parody lyrics. This one is of Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

Somewhere along the trip to the football field at the Academy to see the fireworks, the kids started singing. It had become a tradition for many of the trips around town. Daniel looked to the back seat to see his children. Nathaniel had recently turned ten and was always full of questions. Daniel admitted that was a trait inherited from both parents.

Audry had just turned eight the week before. And she was definitely her mother's daughter. She was forever primping and making herself more beautiful - as if that were possible.

Nathaniel and Audrey were happily singing nonsense songs and enjoying the way the syllables rolled out of their mouths. Vala grinned as she made outlandish guesses as to the stories behind the songs.

They left the neighborhood Popeye's and the kids started singing again.

Boom! The cherry bombs explode

Blowing potholes in the road;

Tiny bits of dynamite

Sure can give a guy a fright!

One went off by Irving's mama;

Poor thing almost had a trauma!

Gad! What simple minded jerks

We tu-urn loose with fireworks!

Vala looked through the mirror back to her children. "Did your Uncle Jack teach you that one? It's a clever song, but you must remember, no explosives until you're eighteen. Alright, darlings?"

Daniel started muttering. "I'll get him for this. Soon."

A/N - I was thinking of this little ditty on the Fourth and thought it would be a good little story. Pretty please review! They're tasty and sweet just like ice cream!

A/N - Have you all noticed my obsession with ice cream?
