Goku woke up to find the sun shining and birds singing. Wow, today's gonna be a great day, I just know it!

With that thought he swung his legs up and climbed out of bed. He grabbed his signature orange gi and slipped it on over his underclothes.

As he opened the door to his bedroom a thought hit him. Shouldn't ChiChi be making breakfast by now? I sure don't smell anything.

He shrugged and wandered outside, wanting to get in some early morning training. It was a beautiful day after all. He had just began shadow boxing when a high-pitched yell came from the house.

"Goku, get in here this instant!"

It was ChiChi, surely angry at something he had done. He didn't understand why she had to yell at him so much, half the time he didn't even know what for!

"I'll be right there!" he called, sighing inwardly. Here she went again.

"What is the meaning of this?" she demanded, pointing at their undone bed.

"Oh, that. Sorry ChiChi, I guess I got distracted since its so beautiful outside today," he explained, hoping that would be enough to calm her down.

"You got distracted? That's the worst excuse I've ever heard! What do you think I am stupid? Just because I'm the only woman in this house doesn't mean I'm the only one that has to keep it clean! Gohan, my poor baby, he's getting influenced by the slob of a father he has!"

"ChiChi, relax! I promise it wont happen again!" he assured her, putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Ugh, get out of my sight before I slap you!"

"Ok, but can we eat first? I'm starving!" he begged as his stomach growled.

"Eat? What in the world is that? Stop making up weird names for things and tell me what you're talking about!"

Goku became extremely confused at his wife's words. He may not have been the best at English, but he was pretty sure eat was a word.

"You know, when you cook food and you put it in your mouth and chew," he said, trying his best to explain something so simple.

"Food? Goku are you sick? There is no such thing as eating or food," a confused ChiChi said, touching his forehead in search of a fever.

No. No! This cant be happening! Of course there's a such thing as food, there just has to be! Its not like I'm crazy!

He ran from the bedroom to where the kitchen was, but he was shocked to find that it wasn't there!

"No! What happened to all the food? What happened to the best thing this world had to offer!" he shouted to the sky.

The cruel reality of it all finally hit him. He fell to his knees and began to bawl his eyes out.

How could I have just imagined that food existed this whole time? Why Kami, why?

He was thinking of taking his own life when his eyes snapped open.

What's going on?

He was breathing hard and sweating, practically shaking with grief. It took several seconds before Goku finally realized it had all just been one horridly vivid dream.

He looked around his dark bedroom and saw ChiChi sound asleep next to him. Thank Kami! It was just a dream!

Goku ran out the door and into the kitchen, sighing with relief when he opened the refrigerator door and found it filled with food.
