Chapter One: Hide and Seek
Gotham City, Abandoned Hotel Complex, 2:47 a.m
"WHERE IS HE!"
Batman brutally punched his victim in the gut. He had him by his throat.. The man coughed and gagged, "I-I don't know! What do you want f-from me?"
"The answers!" He punched his gut again, this time even harder.
"He'll kill me if I tell you…"
Batman was growing aggravated. "WHO?"
He punched him a third time, even harder than the first two. The man he was holding spit up some blood, and then gagged. "Sc-Sc-Scare…"
The man's eyes closed and his head flopped downward. Batman shook him. "Come on! Who do you work for, where is he?"
It was no use, the man was unconscious. Batman pulled out a bat shaped walkie-talkie.
"Alfred, how do I get to the top of this building?"
He observed the are around him. Nothing but doors and doors all the way down both sides of the hallway.
"At the end of the hallway there is a staircase, go up two floors. Afterwards, walk to the end of the hallway and there should be an elevator. It doesn't go to the roof, but I'm sure you could find a way up there."
Batman started down the hallway, "thanks Alfred."
He put his walkie-talkie away and continued walking.
Once he reached the elevator, he looked up. There was a hatch on the ceiling. He threw a battarang at it, and it popped open.
He leaped up just high enough to grab the ledge of the open hatch door. He used the holes in it to climb on top of the elevator. He noticed a rope going to the top of the building.
Once he had climbed up the rope, he was on the roof of the warehouse. He noticed a large crate labeled: WARNING EXPLOSIVE MATERIAL
He finally knew what was going on. Just then he heard footsteps behind him. He quickly turned to see Scarecrow walking toward him.
"Ah, Batman, how…expected."
Batman tried to respond, but Scarecrow quickly shot a hose full of some sort of gas at him. Batman stumbled around for a moment, then just passed out.
