He opened the gift box, and was met with a rather… nice surprise. "Did she really go all that way just for me?"

Turkish Delights were something the Phantom has come across once before when he was in the east. While he had a mild sweet tooth, it was something he couldn't help but to enjoy every moment he got. He knew that young artist was up to something when the winter nights came about. Even yet before the change of the season, she would hope for roses from the Phantom and she would salvage them. Olivie discovered a tiny bottle, which smelled fragrant of… roses. Not only was it homemade food colouring, but it tasted wonderful, just what she needed to make the jelly sweets.

When the winter nights finally came around, that was her chance. By evening she set off with her supplies and snuck off to the tiny kitchen the Populaire had, specific for all who saw the establishment as their home. She was quick to light the stove and to mix what she had to her pan only to heat it a few moments later. She couldn't tell you why she had the idea to do this. As much as she didn't want to admit, she was intimidated by the man. In some cases, she could be fearful, but it didn't stop her. By night, her pink, jelly mixture was already setting in her pan. Wax paper covering it, along with cloth wrapped to protect it, she set it outside where she knew it would be chilled by morning…

The finish product, which would glisten in the light if some uncoated sides of the jelly would be exposed. What covered the majority of sides on the cubes was a mixture of powdered sugar and cornstarch. Nobody liked sticky fingers.

The Phantom wasted no time to take one of the cubes into his mouth, his jaw didn't have to move so much. Another piece went into his mouth, a few moments went by, and another.

He found a tear streaming down his cheek, and he was quick to wipe it away. While he was confused, unsure if she was just being kind or she really loved him, he wouldn't know for a while. But kindness all in itself was different. "I'll have to thank her properly, wonderful thing she is."

He didn't even realize he was smiling down into the box.
