Another short one-shot. I just thought that Ron really is under-rated and needs some appreciation. But ya...hope you enjoy!

What had he done to deserve this? He knew he was a little inconsiderate punk who was not even in the same league as the famous Victor Krum, but he couldn't stand this. He just couldn't bare the pain of watching Hermione Granger and Victor Krum dancing joyfully out on the dance floor while he, Ron Weasley sat at a table by himself. Who would even want to sit with him? He was just another Weasley. Just a little fourth year who held no importance in this world at least not compared to Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived. He was lost in a sea of better looking, more important people then he could ever hope to be.

And Ron hated it.

As he sat there pouting and glaring at Hermione and Krum, he knew he would never have a chance with her now that she had developed a liking for famous people. Ron was not stupid. He knew all throughout their second year, Hermione had only dreamed about their Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockheart. And look what he turned out to be? A good for nothing loser who didn't do a thing for himself. And there was always the feeling that Hermione had taken a fancy to Harry. I mean, how could she not have? Harry seemed to be everything he was not. Ron couldn't blame her. And what could she possibly see in Krum? I mean sure, he was a famous Quidditch player and the Durmstrang champion, but other then that what did he have going for him? He looked like a liar. What did he want with Hermione anyways? Probably just trying to get closer to Harry so he could try and sabotage him. And he was definitely not good looking. But perhaps Hermione was into that rugged look. Girls were so unpredictable.

He stared deeply at Hermione from across the floor, then realized he probably looked like some kind of stalker. Ron Weasley, side-kick of the famous Harry Potter, and creepy stalker of the oh-so-smart Hermione Granger. He was pathetic. There was nothing special about Ron, nothing at all. Even in his family, he was the odd one out. He basked in the glory of limelight, whenever he could find it, but of course it was always provided by somebody more worthy. He felt as if he just couldn't win. Hermione would never go for him. Not Hermione, the most brilliant girl he had ever met. He had always been drawn to her, even in his first year, although he would never admit it to anyone. He often lost track of time, just staring at her beautiful face, immersed in studying. She was always oblivious when she got her nose into a book.

And Ron loved it.

He couldn't bring himself to ever tell Hermione how he felt about her. He just wasn't ready.

But one day, he would be.

I would be so grateful if you could review. Thanks!
