It had been a long day but Ethan's cute smiles and light humour had kept her going. It was Saturday and it was also Valentines day yet they were both stuck at work. Ethan had finished his shift over two hours ago and had left almost immediately, leaving a note shoved into Honey's pocket. She had been so busy she had barely noticed let alone had time to read it. Realising that her work had done she took off her apron and folded it, causing the note to fall out.

H,

Meet me here:

He had drawn a quick map and written the postcode of their destination.

Honey rushed out to her car, she smiled as she noticed the single rose and bag of Haribos on the passenger seat. She punched the address into the sat nav and set off. It was 7pm already and she was getting hungry. She let out a groan as she saw the estimated arrival time- 9:30pm.

She put the radio on and began to drive. By the time she got to the motorway it was already 8 o'clock and she was starving. The overhead signs read: 'Congestion ahead.'

Turns out the 'congestion' was 10 miles of stationary traffic due to road works. Honey opened the packet of Haribos and picked out the hearts and the eggs, her favourite. Time was always and it was now nearly 10 o'clock, she was tired and the initial excitement was beginning to wear off.

'I guess the most romantic part of today will be these heart shaped Haribos then.'

'You would have thought so wouldn't you.' A voice replied from behind her. In her rush to get in the car and arrive to her destination she didn't notice the blue blanket in the back that was hiding a certain someone holding the other 11 roses. He handed them to her and watched the smile break out on her face.

'Oh Ethan!'

'Come on Honey, pull over and let me sit in the front- my back is killing me from sitting here for so long!'

'Right, yes.'

She pulled into the next services and climbed out before helping Ethan to get out.

'I love you you know.'

'I know. I always knew.'

The couple kissed, they didn't care who was watching, they didn't care how ridiculous they looked in the car park at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night.

Love really is blind.
