The Rebirth
Chapter 1
The alarm sounded through the small room with a sound to wake someone from a comma. Leo sat up in his bed and turned the deafening alarm off. He stood and walked into his bathroom. After he took a quick shower; Leo washed his face and changed into his school uniform. He walked into his kitchen and made simple toast and was out the door. Leo enjoyed the morning air. He took a deep breath and began walking. As he walked he took bites of his toast. As Leo ate his toast in peace he almost didn't notice an old lady was trying to get her cat from a tree. Leo stopped and looked at the strange lady trying to jump and reach her cat.
"Miss Snuffles! Come down here Miss Snuffles!" yelled the little old lady in panic.
Leo finished his toast and walked over to the tree the cat was stuck in. Quickly Leo began to realize the cat wasn't in danger. Leo figured out that the cat jumped up there by himself. He figured this because the cat was licking himself and had a bored expression on his face. Leo looked at the little old lady and then back at the cat. Leo made up his mind. Just then Leo punched the tree with barely effort.
The branch the cat was sitting on broke and the cat came hurling down. Leo caught the scared cat and handed it to its owner.
"Miss Snuffles!" exclaimed the old lady as she began to squeeze the cat with great force.
The old lady thanked Leo and went on her way. Leo watched as the little old lady walked away with Miss Snuffles.
"I guess she doesn't realize it yet. That your actually Mister Snuffles," said Leo with a little smile on his face.
The school bell went off and class started as usual. Leo was actually a brilliant student but he never showed it. He just always looked disinterested in everything, and this most likely the reason he didn't have friends. People always offered to take him places but he always said no. Girls also had crushes on him but he never cared.
"Okay class. That will be it for now," said Leo's teacher as the final bell rung for students to be dismissed.
Leo began to gather his stuff when suddenly a group of guys came up to him.
"Hey Leo some of the guys and I are heading to the arcade. You want to tag along?" asked one of the boys in a friendly tone.
"Sorry. I have work," said Leo with no emotion in his voice.
With that Leo gathered the rest of his stuff and left the classroom. Leo headed to a small store and walked in. He greeted the managed and changed into his work uniform in the bathroom. Leo then clocked in and went behind the counter. Leo yawned and kept looking at his watch already wondering when his shift would end.
Later that night Leo was lying in his bed wide awake. He kept thinking about his parents. He wondered what they were like and if they were bad people or good people. He kept wondering about them and eventually he fell asleep.
The next morning Leo was again woken by his alarm. As he reached for it the noise suddenly stopped. He looked at his alarm and saw a hand already on it. As he followed the arm he realized it belonged to a beautiful girl with dark black hair and an orange ribbon on the side of her head. Leo was shocked and tried to speak but nothing came out.
"Hello Leo. I am Anne. I am a demon," said Anne and as she spoke her eyes seems the glow a bright red.
"If this is a dream; then it is definitely going to be a nightmare," said Leo as he got out of bed and began his day with a little demon in it.
