Chapter One- Edward POV (FULL CHAPTER)

"Don't, Please don't make me sleep" She begged. Oh Bella.

Esme came in with warm blanket, I was guessing she blow dryed. It was a cold night after all.

I positioned Bella into her most common sleeping position I'd seen her in. I was surprised when she started to kicking and slapping at me. We needed Jasper, But I knew that he was no where in the house. hunting, he was afraid he would hurt Bella again.

Bella started to sob when Esme started tucking her in.

"Bella, you can sleep where not going anywhere"Esme kissed Bella's cheek, I don't that reassured Bella in the slightest.

"noo..." she whispered.

I looked at Esme for advice, she looked as pained as I did.

She started rubbing Bella's back, hopping it would soothe her and sent her off to sleep.

Bella arched her body away from my mother. She didn't trust us.

I tried a different approach.

I hummed her lullaby softly against her hear.

"Don't DO that" I stopped my eyes widened, Bella didn't want her lullaby.

"Do you want me to stay, I could lay on the other side" - Esme.

I nodded, if anything was going to get her sleep. It could be a mothers touch.

Esme gently lay down beside Bella, who was now squirm to get off the bed.

"ssshh, go to sleep" I murmured again.

Bella rubbed her eyes, as I started humming her lullaby again.

"Please, don't Edward" she begged, I knew could resisted the lullaby I made for her.

"mmmm" she whimpered. I started stroke along her hairline.

Esme smiled at me when we both realised it was working.

"I need to go to to the bathroom" Bella stated shyly.

I rolled my eyes.

"No, Bella its sleep time" Esme said for me.

But I felt her legs cross, than knew she wasn't at all lying to us.

I let Bella up, telling Esme to follow her.

Alice popped in just as they both left.

"No sleepy Bella" she asked confused.

She walked slowly, sitting where Bella feet were.

"She can't not sleep forever" my sister stated the obvious at a time like this. Maybe I should get Carlisle do give her a shot to help her sleep.

I perked up when I heard Bella's stumble out of the bathroom, Esme by her side holding onto her waist.

"I can walk myself, Esme" she whispered.

I sighed, when Esme scooped Bella up sitting her in my lap.

"Bella, honey" I started.

Alice was rubbed small circles around her back.

"You have to sleep, or I'll take you shopping" Alice interrupted.

Bella sighed tiredly.

"We can go shopping, now Alice if you would like" Bella's head leaned against my shoulder.
