Rose had changed since Satellite 5. When she had taken the Time Vortex in her head, the Doctor knew she would change a bit. But she changed a lot. She knew things that no human should know. She didn't seem to age. She acted more like a Time Lord did.
But she's human.
She can't be a Time lord.
But the Time Vortex has been known to do impossible things.
But no one is supposed to look into it.
No one is supposed to see that.
And she wouldn't have survived had he not sucked the Time Vortex out of her. It may have caused him to regenerate, but if it meant saving Rose, he'd regenerate a thousand times.
But the TARDIS knew something. Knew something about Rose. And what was happening to her. She seemed so connected to Rose. She'd never been connected to his companions before.
But then again we were talking about Rose. Everyone loved Rose. Including him.
Wait, love?
Well, he supposes so. She made him feel things he's never felt before.
But if there's something wrong with her, he might not ever be able to figure it out.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of footsteps. It could only be one person.
Rose Tyler.
"Oh, hello, Rose!"
"Hm? Oh, 'ello, Doctor."
She sounded distracted.
"Something wrong, Rose?"
"No, no, of course not. Just tired."
"Liar. Come here."And he turned around, arms open, and when he looked at her, that's when he saw what he wasn't seeing before.
Rose radiated gold everywhere.
His arms dropped.
He'd seen her like this before.
His concern was at an all time high.
But it couldn't be.
It had to be.
But how?
"Doctor? Hello?"
"R-R-Rose?"
Oh, now she'd think he was mental.
"Uh, yeah, Doctor. I've been here for a while. We were just talking."
"Oh, right, yes! But, Rose…are you feeling alright?"If the time Vortex was still in her head, how was she still alive right now? She should be dead. Not that he wants her to be, but no human can survive taking the Time Vortex into their head. No one can.
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?"
"You…I…did…has the TARDIS told you anything recently?"
A look of pure guilt flashed across Rose's face before a brilliant grin spread across her face.
"Well, Doctor, she has.""Well, what?!"
"The Time Vortex. It's not all gone. The TARDIS can't look into somebody and have them look into her and not leave a piece of her in them. It's not enough to harm me, let alone kill me. It's just enough for…" she trailed off shyly.
"For what, Rose?"
"For me to stay with you."
"For how long?"
"Forever."
This had to be the happiest moment of his life. Rose Tyler. His Rose Tyler could stay with him forever.
"But why?"
Why was he questioning this? He could have the girl he loved forever.
"Because the TARDIS wants us together. Forever.""Not that I'm complaining or disagreeing, but why?"
"Because I'm your Bad Wolf."And what she said next shocked the hell out of him.
"And you're my Oncoming Storm."
