Good-Bye
The Battle is beginning
Talk is over
No other choice
The transformation begins.
A figure of white
Silky white, lineing gold
A blowing wind
Danger in the air.
A small light
Glowing brighter
Small crystal held
Floating between each hand.
She looks forward with determination
Her friends lives at stake
All of her world
Must be saved.
She throws her hands forward
Light is thrown at her advisary
With all her power
To the very last drop.
The rock begins to crack
Trembles move within
Soon the light encompasses it all
And the world is saved.
The figure of white is no more
But in her place, a soldier
Looking small when she is not
Pale as an ivory stone.
She falls to the ground
Caught by her love
There is little movement
And very little breath.
"My love, don't leave!"
He speaks in sadness
"You won. Please stay."
His tears begin to show.
"Only you, my sweet,"
She speaks hoarsely
Her strength nearly gone
"Do I love..."
No more words
Eyes closed and head hung
Very limp as the last color of her face
Is gone.
He stares in disbelief
No sound does he make
The tears glisten
And wait to fall.
His eyes squeeze shut
As the tears now spill on his face
He clutches his love tightly
And lets out a cry.
***
Later, in the moonlight evening
In a place only known to him
He keeps his vigiul daily
Waiting to no end.
She is kept in place forever
Where nothing is ever changed
A beautiful monument of glass
Where the figure of white remains.
He gazes upon her beautiful face
Tears springing from his eyes once more
Her hands across her chest
Hold the single rose from him.
Will there ever be a change
Or a chance that things workout
Can it be that she is gone
Forever, without my love.
He touches the glass
So cold to the touch
With tears once more, whispers
"Good-bye."
