Chapter 1 – Turning 17
"Summer! Happy Birthday best friend!" Hailey screamed as she greeted her with a big hug. "Are you ready to party?" She asked all hyped up, as she walking into summer's mansion. Yes, the kind of mansion along the ocean, on the California coastline. Where the sun's always shinning and summer's all year round.
This was Summer's 17th birthday, and what would be better than spending it with your best friends and your crush.
"I still have to set up all the party decorations." Summer said tying the balloons onto the backyard porch.
"So are you going to make your move on Brad today?" Hailey inquired, picking up a balloon and helping Summer.
"I guess, I mean I like him a lot but he should make the move right?" Summer asked.
"I'm surprised he didn't make a move yet. You're the most popular girl in school," Hailey replied.
"You know what? I don't care anymore; he can do whatever he wants." I wasn't going to waste my time waiting for him, it's my birthday, Summer thought.
"That's the spirit!" Hailey yelped.
DING DONG! "Let's get this party started!" Hailey screamed, as she pulled Summer to the door dancing.
Summer pulled open the door, and as you would guess, it was Brad.
"Hey Sum, Happy Birthday," Brad said shyly.
"Thanks," Summer replied blushing.
"PAR-TAY!" Brad buddies behind him screamed as they rushed through the door, hitting Brad in the back. Then Brad following behind them acting like an idiot, just like the rest of his buddies.
"You got to admit, Brad's looking pretty hot tonight," Hailey said, elbowing her. Who can resist those perfect blue eyes, Summer thought.
Everyone jumped into the pool as more and more people entered through the door.
"Hey, have you seen Taylor?" Summer asked Hailey, disturbing her from flirting with a bunch of guys.
"I think that's Taylor over there," she said, "But who are those two guys behind her? They're hot." Hailey said eying them.
I turned around, and saw the most amazing boy, with the most amazing green eyes…
