Two years have passed; two years since one of the most brutal wars of the era had ended. Many still harbouring the memories of the events that conspired within those short four years of fighting. Many fought, many died, and many fled to escape the war's terrifying reality.
Unicorns, Earth Ponies, and Pegasi; all in a fight to prove whose race was superior. Who could be dubbed the ultimate equine race? Unicorns; who have the power to manipulate nature to their advantage, and bend the will of almost any creature? Earth Ponies; a strong, hardy race that uses the ground to their advantage. Because of their unique connection with nature, they can simply use their surroundings to their advantage, knowing how every littlest organism worked, right down to the smallest blade of grass.
And then there's the Pegasus. They have the ability to forcefully change the weather at their will; flying up to the very clouds themselves, and can simply beat them into submission to follow their orders.
But you must be wondering: What ended this war? What was the final verdict? Who came out as the ultimate race? Well, to put it bluntly, there was never a final decision; no one could ever agree on the answer. The only reason the war had finished was because of the unicorns' actions, and their horrific war crimes.
The unicorns figured out one of the most unholy spells, and used it against both Pegasi and Earth ponies. The magic they used was an ancient necromancy spell, filled with uncontrollable dark magic. The fallen soldiers of all races were resurrected; fathers, sons, everyone who had been killed was brought back as an undead abomination. Zombies, if you'd say. The next few months after that were hectic, forcing both earth and pegasi to fend off these creatures that the unicorns had created.
Because of the unicorns' lack of knowledge of the spell, they did not have any control over the dead. Therefore, being forced into the enchanted forest, Malum, where they have not ventured from since the incident.
Although it has been two years since the war ended, the effects of the spell is still as rampid as the day it was casted, and resources are growing thin for everyone, as the undead make trading even more dangerous than ever before.
