Aneko: Okay, so this is my last day at home (sob) for a week
Aneko: Okay, so this is my last day at home (sob) for a week. That doesn't seem like a lot, but then the day after I get back, I'm leaving for the United Kingdom, so I'm going to be having a hectic month…
Disclaimer: I don't own Spiral…wish I did though…
Like a Swan
Ryoko watched Rutherford walk away, his empty, worldly mask hiding a dark secret from the world.
"You're like a swan, Rutherford. Beneath the water you're kicking dust, but then you keep going; but no one watching you would ever guess it."
It was the perfect description, calling him that.
To the world, which saw him as the world renowned piano player Eyes Rutherford, he was a spotless swan deserving of admiration.
But what they didn't see, from day to day life, was an Eyes Rutherford who lived each day struggling to survive. A world in which he had been cursed, living a life that was kill or be killed. If he was not careful, he could be alive one day and dead the next.
He kept up the world charade flawlessly, being so famous though he knew how potentially dangerous it could become, should someone find out he was one of the blade children.
As much as his words were resigned to that fate, his actions showed he was still trying to fight it; he just had trouble accepting that Ayumu was the one who was supposed to save them.
In his opinion. most of the world was naïve to the struggle of the blade children, yet they gave him attention just for knowing how to play the piano. Not that they needed to know; but they pampered and praised him, all the while not knowing what he was—if they did, he would be considered dangerous—a monster, perhaps.
So he struggled silently against a fate handed to him by force, because that was all he knew how to do.
The world watched, caught up in the beauty of the spotless swan, unable to see or understand how much of a struggle it was just to stay on the surface.
Aneko: So there you go, my dedication to Eyes-sama, because he is so cool!! XD Ja, sayonara.
