She couldn't stop thinking about the things she wanted to do to him when they got home.
She wanted to devour his body, treat every body part like a sacred one, not a typical, male part of the anatomy – and yes, especially that part.
She knew that Derek felt the same way. And hey, they were newlyweds – who said a blue post-it didn't count as a marriage? The ring was legit, their vows were legit…that made them newlyweds, and that's the only thing the cared about right now.
"Why are we here, anyway?" she asked, not wanting to push the subject as if it was something she was very interested in. She wanted it to sound casual, but he would notice her excitement, whiny and urgent tone instantaneously.

She looked ahead to what he gestured. It was just a field, covered in thick, green grass and plants. Why would this be important?
"I don't understand, Derek. And it's cold, I want to go home – even if that's the trailer."
Derek laughed, his eyes closing and his head falling back, releasing the chuckle deep within him. "This is where my mother had her first kiss, Meredith."
Meredith went forward, taking his hand in hers. "Showing me your roots, eh?"
He smiled down at her. "As if my roots are important now."
And their lips joined into a kiss, slow, yet loving and passionate.
