"Hi Rosie." Rose Weasley looked up from her book at the blonde haired, 16-year-old boy who was taking the seat next to her in the Charms classroom. "Scorpius" she said in an annoyed tone before
returning to her reading. "Ever the bookworm, aren't you Weasley?" Scorpius Malfoy said with a chuckle. Rose could feel her ears warm, why did she have to get so embarrassed around him? Before
Rose could rise to change her seat, the bell rang and Flitwick began his lesson on the Locomotor charm. Rose tried to concentrate on the lecture, but her eyes kept wandering to look at Scorpius. His
hair had gotten longer, and he wore it swept carelessly back off of his face. His gray eyes danced and his chin came to a soft point.
Practically everyone seemed to know that Rose Weasley fancied Scorpius Malfoy, everyone but Dad and Scorpius, of course. Her cousins teased her mercilessly about it, and she had spilled the bean
to Mum and Aunt Ginny over lunch during the summer. He was Rose's polar opposite. She was the perfect Ravenclaw, studious, bright, and always getting perfect grades. Scorpius, though in the
same house, took a much more lax approach to his studies, preferring to bug Rose for all it was worth. And yet, he still managed to achieve high marks, this drove Rose insane. He was her polar
opposite, and yet she found him irresistibly intriguing.
The bell startled Rose; she looked down at her notebook and realized that she had written down almost nothing. Angry at herself for her lack of concentration, she grabbed up her books and started
for the exit. As she hurried down the corridor, a little first year, concentrating very hard on her schedule and not noticing Rose, ran right in to her. Rose's things flew from her hands and landed on the
ground. The girl muttered apologies, then ran down the now nearly empty corridor. Rose bent down and was collecting her things when she noticed a pale hand trying to give her several books,
"Throwing library books, Rosie? I never would expect it from you." Scorpius said with a smile, Rose reached out her hand, intending to get the books, but it was taken by that of Scorpius. Rose froze
on her spot, the few pieces of parchment she was holding fell back to the ground as she brought her hand up to rest on Scorpius' muscular chest.
Scorpius moved his hands to Rose's waist, and pulled her closer. His entire expression had changed, what had been teasing was now soft and passionate. Their eyes made contact, "Scorp, there's no
one around," Rose whispered, trying to indicate that they were running late. "Lucky us" Scorpius barely whispered back before their lips met. The kiss was light at first, but Rose soon became lost in
Scorpius. He smelled of mint and musk and had a sprinkling of stubble on his cheek. Scorpius licked at her bottom lip, and she parted them. Their tongues entwined, building a rhythm that matched
the way Rose's hand moved in Scorpius' hair. They lingered, still, for a moment before breaking apart. They kept their eyes closed. Scorpius moved his mouth to her ear, so close that she felt his lips
move. "I love you Rose Weasley, I always have." He said before pulling away. She stay in her spot, and watched him as he smiled at her before walking down the corridor.
