A Song of the Sea

The year is 1803. It has been 300 years since Naraku vanished draging the miko Kagome into the well with him. So much has changed in the world, the youkia heros of old have all but scatered and vanished with the wind. But when an ancient evil reapears, they must band together once more or all will be lost and the fabric of time and space will be destroyed.

1. Chapter 1

Beat to quarters

It was just past two bells on the four watch. Fog was still clinging to the sea and flowing through the sails as thick as cotton. Ginta looked out into the grey abyss, anxiety growing in his chest. Something just wasn't right, he had circled the deck of the ship three times already. There wasn't a single rope out of place, everything was in order aboard the Shadow Wolf. He growled low, and ran his clawed fingers through his short gray black hair. Closing his eyes he tried something more old fashioned, inhaling deep through his nose the wolf youkai could smell everything. The rats scurrying below deck, black powder for the cannons, salted meat for the pack, the sea all around him, and the faint demonic aura coming closer, hidden by the fog.

Ginta's eye's snapped open and he barred his fangs.

"BEAT TO QUARTERS!" he roared.
