I want a girl with lips like morphine,
Knock me out every time they touch me.
I wanna feel a kiss just crush me,
And break me down.
Lips Like Morphine
By Mylla Evans
He cupped her face carefully in his hands and kissed her lips. They were nine years old and her mouth tasted like bittersweet chocolate. Children commonly hated bitersweet chocolate, was what Blaise thought for that infinitesimal of a second before they parted. But Pansy had never been a common child.
And their friendship, definetely, was also far from being common.
They had the use of kissing in the mouth since very young. It wasn't an habit that expressed any deeper feeling; it was just a simple habit. No one cared much about it. Neither did them.
Draco was probably who cared the less. The nights Blaise joined the couple, he was always greeted by Pansy's kiss and Draco's unexpressive smile. And if Draco decided to express any other thing through his smile, Blaise wouldn't know - the taste of Pansy's lips would always get his full atention.
Sometimes it tasted like mint, sometimes coffee. The taste of the old bittersweet chocolate or alcohol.
Alcohol.
Blaise could remember clearly the occasion he had felt the taste of alcohol in Pansy's lips for the first time. They were about sixteen, it was winter and he had gotten a bottle of firewhisky, under de pretext of getting warm. She gave a smile, with her uncolored lips, when she accepted the drink he offered. Gave a long sip. And, as usual, kissed his mouth as a way of thanking him.
Almost instantly the broke it. Pansy, however, kept her eyes shut. Blaise was able to study every detail of her face before they were opened again, with a question trapped in those irises that were highlighted against the frozen view.
As an answer he cupped her face, like he used to do when they were kids, and kissed her again, this time searching for the taste of the firewhisky that was on Pansy's tongue. He knew then there was no coming back.
He was already addicted.
