A Disturbed Welcome
I saw them from a distance. I was just standing there. For some reason, I could hear my heart thud. Thud, thud, thud. At the same time, I felt only…nervous. But why? It's only Ed & Al and Major.
"That's it, I'm just happy I'm seeing them after so long! …But it's only been three months… well so what! That's still too long!" Winry assured.
She then ran down the steps and acted as if she didn't see them through the window. She stayed sitting and sitting on the chair, waiting for them to knock the door. Finally, she heard footsteps, and a knock. She opened it and acted as if it were her usual customers by looking down at the floor.
"Hi, welcome to the Rockbell residenc-" she then "acted" surprised and gave both Ed and Al the biggest bear hug she could ever give.
"Jeez Winry, we were only gone for 3 months, why so surprised?" Ed asked with a puzzled face.
Al only agreed by nodding with a smile.
"Well fine then! I'm sorry I'm the only one who cares for your safety when you guys are out there being dumbasses by risking your life day by day! Gosh, the nerve of some people!" Winry only then got up and stomped her way inside the house to her room.
"Brother! Look what you did to her! We should go apologize-" Al then got interrupted by an angry side of Edward.
"Heck no! She's the one who's being too dramatic about this whole thing! So why should I apologize?!" Ed shot up, and then quickly started off to the back of the house.
"But brother!" Al then sighed. "How do they not realize how much they love each other?" he only sat there thinking.
It was 4 AM. Ed couldn't sleep. He got up from the couch and slowly went up the stairs. Trying not to make any noise, he wanted to check on Winry. He felt bad about yesterday. He was about to open her door to check, but then heard someone yawning behind him. He was startled, until he realized it was only granny.
"Ed? What are you planning on doing in there? Can't you see Winry is sleeping?" she babbled with her morning voice. "Oh I see." Granny then said sarcastically.
"SHUTUP YOU OLD HAG! I WASN'T PLANNING ON ANYTHING!" His cheeks filled with red quickly. "I only wanted to check up on her!..." he said nervously.
Trying to forget about the whole thing that just happened between Ed and Granny, he tried sleeping it off. Little did anyone know, Winry was awake.
