Last kiss

It all started out as a normal day. Things had gone extremely well at the game shop. We had done extremely well that day. When the day finally ended, Joey and I closed up the shop and headed towards my car. As we headed towards my car the rain. The rain was light and it made Joey look even beautiful. We got into the car just as it started to pour. We got into the car semi wet and giddy. Joey looked over at me and smiled

" Ya no, Yug. We've known each other for what, five years now. And it still amazes me how much I still love you." He said leaning over to kiss me.

I leaned into him to kiss the soft lips that I fallen in love with.

There was some light conversation on the way home. We both knew that I had to concentrate on the road. I took the road to the high way of where our apartment was. Things were going great until I turned the corner.

In the middle of the road, there was a stalled car. I tried to stop but the wetness of the ground prevented me from getting any traction and the car just slid into a patch of trees. Right before the impact, Joey let out a blood-curdling scream.

When I woke up I became aware that I was laying on the pavement. There was a sharp pain in my ribcage and I could taste blood, but I didn't worry about me. I had to find Joey. I got up and staggered over to what used to be my car, there was no sign of my love. I searched all around to I heard a soft cry.

"Yugi."

I ran over to where I heard the voice and sure enough, that was Joey.

I threw myself at the pavement, scooped up the limp form of my lover, and held him tight. It was in that moment that I became aware of the sirens as the came closer.

" Yugi. I love you and I always will. Take care of your self and my sister." Joey said smiling a sad smile.

" Joey, don't talk like that. You're going to make it." I said trying to sound calm when inside I was terrified.

As the sirens came closer I leaned forward and kissed Joey one last time. It was full of the passion that we would never be able to experience again. The EMT men got the stretcher out of the ambulance as I saw Joey closed the honey colored eyes that I had loved.

As I saw them put the white sheet over my love, I lost it and they stuck me with a tranquilizer.

"Joey… no… you can't die on me." I screamed as they shut the door.
