Planetary
It was dark when they arrived to let Zero out of the suit. He was thankful for that simply because he didn't want to see the suns. He knew exactly what to expect coming out of the suit – Hell, he'd designed the damn thing.

That was the irony of the whole situation: he was the first to see the suit – that stupid sketch was still in his desk drawer – and he would be the last to see the inside of one.

The stars twinkled above as they pulled him from the confined space and walked him to the transport truck.

Towel
He didn't have to ask about what had happened at the tower; he'd witnessed the suns rise and fall from within the suit. He knew they wouldn't tell him anything anyway, but he was curious as to the state of Azkadellia and the others, especially Wyatt Cain.

One of the men tossed a wet rag to him and motioned to the grime on his face. The silver sheen was an after-effect of the gasses pumped into the suit to sustain life. Zero wouldn't acknowledge the kindness from the soldier, knowing the man was most likely under orders to be civil.

Crackle
Obviously, someone found the emerald, but with the daylight, Zero knew that the sorceress had failed. Was she still alive? Was she a prisoner or on the run? He'd heard the rumors that the Princess was not in control of her own faculties, but to even acknowledge he'd heard it was treasonous.

The sound of a wrapper brought Zero back to the back of the truck and he looked down to see a protein bar being offered by the soldier. Deciding it best not to argue, Zero took the bar and chewed in silence, instead pondering what his future held.

Untold
Zero turned around in his new home – a cell in the Central City prison – and huffed. It figured, as his father always said he'd never amount to much more than a criminal. Of course, his father had room to talk.

For a while, there, Zero was in control of the Longcoats of the Outer Zone.

Not bad for a science geek who wanted nothing more than to get the Hell out of Dodge.

Of course, he'd never actually aspired to leading an army. He only wanted to make his mark.

And it wasn't going to be made in a classroom.

Whistle
Three different sets of guards came by to check on him the first day; as if they thought he would go anywhere. He'd managed to find out that Wyatt Cain was alive; as was the girl, DG; and Azkadellia. No one would tell him, however, what his punishment would be.

It seemed that, due to the circumstances, the Royal family was going easy on the punishments of the sorceress' followers.

Zero wasn't stupid. There would be no easy for him. Not with Wyatt Cain on the other side of those bars.

He breathed.

Maybe Missouri wasn't so bad after all.
