Springs
Blocking a kunai, Neji ran foreword watching his opponent and found an opening. He used gentle fist to finish him off and checked his surroundings. The battle was over as soon as it started. He heard the jumping of another shinobi and quickly drew a kunai. He pocketed it though as soon as he saw who it was, a bright green boy.
Neji followed behind Rock Lee and they soon came upon their similarly dressed sensei and normal looking female team mate. Neji could tell immediately that Tenten was hurt. But when Rock Lee noticed he asked (yelled), "Are you all right Tenten?" "Yes Lee." Tenten replied trying, almost successfully, to mask the pain in her voice. Neji could see the two green shinobi believed her empty words. Tenten looked to Neji as she quickly wrapped the wound.
"We should camp here tonight, there is a spring near by and we're all need to rest." Neji ordered trying to make sure they didn't move Tenten around too much. The rest of the team agreed and they got to work setting up camp. Once Lee and Gai were done setting up the tent, they left to collect fire wood.
As soon as they were out of sight and sound, Neji walked over to Tenten, who was starting their dinner. She looked up as she noticed him. "Do need something, Neji?" She asked weakly. Without speaking Neji lifted her up into his arms. She shrieked then winced as the struggling tampered with her wound. "Stop moving and be quiet." Neji murmured calmly as he started walking toward the spring which was only twenty yards away. "What are you doing, Neji?" Tenten asked after a few moments.
Neji looked down at Tenten as they came upon the spring, he carefully set her down and pulled a cloth out of his pack. He went to the spring and wet the cloth, going back to her when he was done. The wound was on her side and Neji told her to hold her shirt up. She gave him a withering look and did as she was told.
Neji unwrapped the messy bandage and cleaned the wound. It was worse than he thought originally, the first bandage was already covered in blood. He pulled Tenten closer to him, so as to get a better look at the wound, but he did not realize he had pulled her into his lap.
He looked up into her cherry red face and when he realized their position a slight pink color dusted his cheeks, an action the other male shinobi would have found very funny. Neither of them noticed their faces coming closer until, "Neji and Tenten sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-" Rock Lee and Gai's song put to an abrupt halt as rapid amounts of kunai came toward the both of them, making them both scatter.
Neji, back to his calm demeanor, finished wrapping Tenten's wound. Tenten pecked Neji on the cheek when they were back at the camp. This action caused the color to rush back to Neji's face and sent Rock Lee and Gai back into song. The two green monsters still have scars from that day.
AN: This story is set back when they all were just a few months into being shinobi. This my first story so please review and tell me what you think.
