This is a theory that I came up with while watching the final season in Mako Mermaids. It's just a drabble.
I love Uncle Shen! He is one of my favorite supporting characters. However, I always felt that there was more to him than meets the eye.

Read and let me know what you think about this theory in the review box!

He lay ill in his hospital bed, ready to greet death at the doorstep.
He was so old now.
So old, and so worn down.
A beautiful young woman sat beside him on his bed, her soft gentle hand wrapped around his.
He looked up to her, with his eyes glistening with tears.

She had grown to be a fine woman.
He remembered the first time he met her in his Antique Shop in Chinatown.
She wanted a puzzle box from him.
He knew that she was special.
He knew that there was more to her then she let on.

She was like a niece to him.
A niece that he never had.
Uncle Shen loved Weilan.
And he trusted her too.

His hand went to reach for something that he had kept away for her.
It was a small box.
Weilan took it and he told her to open it.
Opening the box, Weilan saw a picture frame.

She gasped when she saw what was depicted in the picture.
It was Uncle Shen, so young and handsome.
With a mermans tail.
