"K- Kristoff…"
A mist blew out from where the desperate princess had taken a deep breath. She was cold, hopelessly cold, and the tips of her fingers were starting to turn into an icy blue hue. A good five hundred meters still stood between the only thing that could save her from being frozen permanently, and Anna didn't think she was going to make it.
But she chose to believe against this.
"K- Kris…"
Her knees gave way, and it sent her falling down onto the ice, unable to support herself any longer. She could barely even breathe, but she tried to fight through the cold and stick around for at least a few more moments. The silhouette of the man she loved drew nearer, and it gave Anna more hope. If she were to become frozen, at least this would be the last thing she would ever see.
Feeling the ice run its course through her body, she sighed and let her eyelids drop. If it weren't for the coldness of her skin, she wouldn't have felt the warm touch that landed gently upon her soft, freckled skin. In an instant, her eyes were wide open.
"Kristoff!"
Her lips met his', thawing the pre-frozen princess within seconds. She held onto him tight, feeling the warmth return to her body as she pulled away. Her heart was filled with bliss and relief; someone did love her, after all.
But another thought crushed that feeling almost immediately.
Elsa.
She looked around, keeping a wary eye out. There was an uneasiness in the pit of her stomach that she couldn't quite explain. After all the events that had transpired, where was her sister?
The sound of blade hitting flesh.
Alarmed, she jerked her head towards where the recent sound had come from. In the distance, she saw two figures; one was standing up in a somewhat confident stance, and the other was lying down on the ground, lifeless. The uneasiness still lurked about in her system as her mind suggested a horrible, tragic thought.
"Elsa?!"
She gulped at the mere thought. Getting up on her feet, she took off on her heel and ran as fast as she could towards the two figures, leaving Kristoff behind. She was hoping, desperately hoping, that it wasn't what she expected it to be.
When she arrived at the scene, what she saw was as devastating as the news of her parents' death.
Only this time, it was her sister.
"Elsa!"
A pool of blood surrounded the fallen queen's chest area. The traitor Prince Hans had struck her with his sword. "You monster," Anna cursed at the prince, holding her sister in her arms. She looked down at Elsa and caressed her lifeless face, tears rapidly flowing on her cheeks.
"Elsa, I'm so sorry..."
Anna broke down, sobbing into Elsa's shoulder. She was her best friend, her only friend, her sister. And she was gone.
Meanwhile, the ice around them was beginning to thaw. The fjord has returned to its original state, allowing the ships' mobility. Soon, everything was green and sprightly once more. Birds began to chirp from all around them, and the sun shone brightly up on the noon sky.
Summer was back. But to the princess, this was anything but a good sign.
Her sister was dead.
This was super short because it was supposed to be a drabble of sorts. This was heartbreaking to write, but I might make more Frozen fics in the future. Feedback is always appreciated! :) - Aly
