Fionna sighed as she sunk down on the bathroom floor. She wasn't why she was so hated, lately. When she was younger everyone seemed to love her. She was thirteen, fun, and totally kickass. But that didn't really mean anything anymore a few years later. The princes only talked to her because the either wanted sex or a savior from the Ice queen, and sometimes both. All the love they harbored for her before seemed to fade as she grew smarter. Actually, she learned they never had love for her at all.

She looked down at herself, but apparently she didn't see her clearly. She's spent the last two nights in the hospital. She stopped eating after Gumball commented that she was getting fat a few weeks ago. She had lost a lot of weight and cake said she was looking skinny, but she still felt the same. She didn't get it. She looked in the mirror and she LOOKED the same. She was still the fat little adventurer, if not even pudgier than before. It wasn't fair. She's seen other princesses with human physique. They were all perfect. And when she got the Ice Queen to back off of one prince, he was always paired up with one of the seemingly bottomless pool of princesses.

"Life's not fair." She thought in her head over and over again. She was actually bullied now. Everyone except cake commented on the way she looked (too big, not big enough), how she acted (too silly/ not proper enough), and the type of creature she was. (She's human? Well what can they do? Oh, please. Anyone can use a sword. Does she breathe underwater? Does she make fire? Does she read minds? No? Humans are useless. She cant even keep the Ice Queen away for good.) That last comment hurt the most.

This wasn't a world she wanted to live in anymore. It seemed to be looking for every angle to crush her spirit. And the worst part is, she really had no idea why. She reached for the kitchen knife she had hid in one of the cabinet drawers. She cried her heart out as she sat down in the bath tub and aimed at her wrist.

"Fionna! Baby, you're alive!"
She heard Cake sobbing and found herself in a blue paper gown again, in a white hospital bed.
"Why, Fionna? WHY?" Cake sobbed as she was pawing at my face, my hair.

I was alive as ever. I failed at something. AGAIN. But seeing the mix of fear, sadness, and relief on Cake's face, she was glad she didn't die. She HAD to be here for that restless little cat. I was being inconsiderate. I never thought about her. I was given a second(or actually a third) chance for a reason. I wasn't going to screw it up this time. I would be the best I could be. Even if I wasn't perfect, I had to live on. To protect the land of Ooo. To keep Cake company. To make sure Beemo kept updating his software. I was going to stay.

She looked around in the hospital room and found a bouquet of flowers sitting on the table. They were white orchids, with a small note.

I think you're beautiful.

That was dark, but I know some of you guys like it like that. If you don't like stories like this in general, don't comment saying that everything sucked. Its all part of the genre
