hey this is my first ever The Host fan fic so please no hating, i got this idea after watching the movie and it became bigger after reading the book so um here it is. it'll be a mix of the movie and book
Melanie's pov
i jump through the window and fall. i wait for impact but it never comes, when i open my eyes i see a face staring back at me.
i'm in this strangers arms, they caught me. i struggle against who ever it is
"no" i screech "no, you can't have me"
"shhhh" she hushes "we must leave" she grabs my hand and starts running, she's really strong and i can't pull my hand free so i run with her.
she eventually pulls me into a little house and drags me to what looks to be the living room. she pulls up a patch of carpet revealing wood she pulls that up revealing more wood and pulls that up revealing a door of sorts, she unlocks that with a key in her pocket and a ladder is revealed, she pulls me down puts everything back in place and then looks at me.
i take a glance around the room, it is the size of a bedroom, there's a couch off to the right and a fridge next to it, in the middle there is a small table and two chairs and on the left are cupboards.
she opens one revealing non perishable foods, she opens another revealing blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. she opens the last which reveals spare clothing. next to the last cupboard is a small counter/bench and sink, under the counter is a small cupboard filled with cups and bowls and utensils.
"what's your name" she asks from beside me
i look at her in the dim light i can see her lime green eyes stare at me, she's human.
"melanie" i say "melanie styrder" i hold out my hand
"Lu" she says taking it and shaking it
"nice ta meet ya Lu" i say
"nice to meet you too melanie" lu says "get some rest" she chucks a blanket and pillow at me and points to the couch.
shes practilly beaming
"why so happy" i ask
"i haven't had human contact in ages" she says
i nod my head and lay down wrapping the blanket around me and i slowly drift off to sleep.
i was so sleepy that as i closed my eyes i hardly realised that her eyes turnt that weird blue that reflects light...
